New Hunting Equipment
Bowhunting Season
Check List; New Hunting Equipment
I know some archery hunters have already started their white-tail season and some are very soon to start their season. I hope by now you’ve done your scouting and tactical tree- stand placement. After reading many hunting magazines, I’ve put together a list of a few new hunting equipment and gear items that you might be able to use on your next archery hunting expedition. All of these items have been field tested and are highly recommended by the experts.Rivers West Lakota Jacket; $200, waterproof, stretches and very quiet. Excellent for bowhunting on those wet days.
Bowtech Tribute; $700, a combination of speed and forgiveness. Total length: 31 ½” and 26 inch riser. The 13 inch limbs go beyond parallel at full draw and eliminate shock and noise. A binary cam system which will never rotate out of tune and has two draw length modules which allow a smooth draw and speed.
Truglo Tru-site Xtreme Micro-Adjust Sight; $80, wrapped fiber-optic material which makes pins easy to see. A fine click windage and elevation adjustment, so there is no need for tools. This is a rock solid sight once you have it dialed in.
More new hunting equipment:
Omni Hunter Buck Folding Knives; Starting at $53, folding and fixed blades, gut hook or no gut hook. Take a look at the 397BK, a 4 inch stainless steel drop point that is razor sharp.
Irish Setter Aero Tracker Boot; $150, these boots actually expels air out, so your feet will breathe. The Gore-Tex liner keeps feet dry and the boots weigh only about 3 pounds. Excellent for warm to cool weather and no break in period.
Bushnell Elite 1500 ARC Rangefinder; $499, it’s water and fog-proof. Simple to use with other features of course.
Garmin Rino 530 GPS; $535, a waterproof GPS with a 5-watt radio that has a range of up to 14 miles. It also has an NOAA regional weather radio and a moon phase table for archery hunting and fishing.
Grabber Mycoal Hand Warmers; 99cents, keep your hands ready to draw your bow back with these small packets of warmth that last up to 8 hours.
