About the National Archery Association

National Archery Association and Its Benefits

The National Archery Association is a great organization in the United States for archers of all skill levels and ages. If you are an archer, or even have an interest in archery, you might want to consider checking out the National Archery Association (NAA). They have branches throughout the United States, and they are responsible for training Olympic Athletes to compete in the Olympic Games. But you don’t have to want to compete in the Olympics in order to be a member. Anyone can be a member, and membership has a lot of privileges.

For instance, if you are a member, you can use the association’s facilities, be sanctioned to compete in their competitions and get great discounts on certain hotels. You will also receive a subscription to the USA archery publication, which is full of hints and tips for archers.

You can also pursue becoming a NAA coach by taking their archery courses. There are four levels of coaching, so you can choose to just take a level one course, which will allow you to teach children and beginners, or take as many as four courses, which will allow you to teach seasoned archers.

The association also has five hundred dollar scholarships for people who are going to school and are members of the association.

The Archery Association has four basic divisions. There is the Recurve, Compound, Crossbow and Flight Divisions and numerous programs such as the Archers with Disabilities Program.

Membership is fairly cheap. Adults (18 years of age and older) pay fifty dollars for a year. Families pay eighty dollars and kids eighteen years old and younger pay thirty five dollars a year.

These prices are very reasonable. In fact, to join a private archery club, you would probably pay much more than this. You also wouldn’t receive the type of support and resources that the NAA is able to provide to its members.

You can also buy merchandise from the association, such as videos on archery, souvenirs and clothing.

To join all you need to do is fill out an application form online, or at one of their clubs and pay the membership fee. It’s painless and easy to do.

The National Archery Association is a great place for archers to hone their skills, meet other people who have the same interests in archery, and to spend some family time. Don’t let the opportunity pass you by.
