Archery Accessories and Hunting Equipment
Accessories Make Life Easier
Archery accessories are a way to make life easier for the archer. Some archers don’t like to use them, preferring to hone their skills with a lot of practice at the range. But many bows, such as the crossbow or compound bow work better when equipped with better archery accessories. They become much more accurate, and are built to house all types of special gadgets.
Sights are always a popular archery accessory to have. There are all types of sights that can be used, including pin sights, peep sights, laser sights and infrared sights. Pin sights are the sight most used by the beginner. They are inexpensive to buy and relatively easy to use. Just line the pin up with the target, and fire away. There are generally a few pins on a pin sight that can be set to different ranges.
If you plan on using a pin sight, you must make sure that the wires or pins are big enough for you to see. Some archers make the mistake of buying a pin sight that uses really thin or small pins, and then they find that they can’t see them very well in low light conditions.
You should also make sure that the sight you’re going to use isn’t illegal. In some States, the use of laser or infrared sights is illegal.

Quivers are also an archery accessory that most archers use. You can get quivers that strap to your thigh, back or chest. These handy contraptions make it easier for an archer to reach his arrows, and hunters love them because if they don’t have to hold their arrows, they can keep their hands free.
An arrow rest is a rudimentary piece of equipment that most archers--except the crossbow user--will use to rest the arrow on. They make it easier to aim at a target, and are cheap to buy.
Binoculars are also very useful to buy if you’re planning on hunting with a bow. You should make sure that your binoculars are water proof and can withstand some rough usage. With the right pair of binoculars, you’ll find that finding your target is a lot easier.
